The next meaningful catalyst for man kinds evolution is renewable energy. Anyone researching these days will most likely agree as nations around the world seek greater cooperation from each other to advance this cause. Regardless of your political party or affiliation you should agree that renewable energy technologies will advance man kinds standard of living as a whole.
It is by far one of the most important issues of our time and this century will see huge advancements made to improve solar, wind, hydro power, geothermal, nuclear, cleaner burning coal plants, and our generation and the next will take bold steps forward in these areas.
As I begin my research into the backbone of this new era, THE NEW SMART GRID, I was not surprised to see my new copy of Popular Science and it's cover title, no other than "POWER PLAN" EXTRAORDINARY SOLUTIONS FOR A CLEAN-ENERGY CENTURY.
It arrived in the mail about a week after I posted my first piece on THE GREEN MOVEMENT AND SMART GRIDS on June 15, 2009.
I also spoke of the most important man in our country that will be center stage for the governments roll in moving us forward. His name is Steven Chu. His ultimate goal is to create and stimulate a second industrial revolution that will cause serious climate changing action. He is our Secretary of Energy and never before in our history has this job been so important. His tenure will assist in growth as we have never seen before regarding renewable energy sources and much much more. This evolution is no longer a pipe dream but a must both for our survival as a planet and economic survival in this country.
So it is that I have finally found a meaningful catalyst, one that I can research, one that I can sink my mind into, one that means everything to our very lives. The subject is more broad than just the specifics of renewable energies most important part, a "Smart Grid" to expedite the delivery of electricity in the most efficient way possible. The task is daunting and wide sweeping covering many companies, many jobs and is not limited to geographical location. It concerns really not only our country but all countries on Earth.
There is no other subject matter that is more important than renewable energy to mankind at this time. Yes there are many other subjects that are extremely important yet without energy civilization would not exist as we know it, so without advancing in renewable energy sources there can be no advancement in any other field or endeavor of the human experience unless you count starvation of mind body and soul. So it is the most important catalyst that will take us into a bright new positive future is RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES.
As this theme develops over time existing technologies will benefit from new advancements made in this our REBIRTH, OUR RENAISSANCE of THE SECOND GREAT INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION. Though it seems we live in the dark ages as so much negative has come forth from the financial collapse world wide we have learned in history that for every collapse comes new ideas, new ages and we are entering a new age a new wave of growth. It might not seem like it right now, it might even seem darker in the days to come but long term we are headed into a world in which advanced new technologies propel us and the economies of the world on a positive track forward.
As a nation we have no choice but to advance our technologies concerning renewable energy. We must become world leaders in green house emission reduction and the sciences and NEW JOBS that will get us there. The time and place for our next great catalyst is now, we must be smart and we must act now and I feel we will regardless of politics, politics be damned this time, our greatest wake up call is now. This will make putting a man on the moon seem small, it requires us to move now both for economic reasons, and for our very existent as a species, for our whole planet needs this now more than ever.
